DR. Jason King
When Jason King started practicing family medicine in the United States, it was always his intention to come home.
DR. King was born and raised in Dunnville and still has family in the area so Port Colborne was a natural choice, he said. After completing his undergraduate course at the University of Guelph, King attended medical school at St. George's University, in Grenada.
After completing a residency in Troy, Michigan, he set up a practice in a small northern Michigan town, before he and his family came to Port Colborne in 2008.
DR. Matthew Vandenberg
Originally from Orillia, Dr. Vandenberg studied at St. James School of Medicine and completed clinical rotations throughout the United States and Canada. After completing his family medicine residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he’s been practicing in eastern Canada for several years before deciding to the family decided move to Niagara in 2021.
“My wife grew up in Port Colborne, and as we managed the COVID-19 pandemic, we realized this was a good opportunity to move back to Ontario to be close to family."
DR. Samyuktha (Sam) Adiga
For over 10 years, Dr. Sam Adiga has been working in locum positions in various cities in Ontario, in which she has covered for family doctors who are on sabbatical, medical leave, or maternity leave. Recently, she and her family have decided to settle down in Port Colborne by taking over Dr. Willam West's patients and opening her own practice.
Her journey in medicine started at the University of Ottawa with a B. Sc in Biochemistry and a BA Sc., in Chemical Engineering before moving on to McMaster University and completing the Family Medicine residency program in 2015. We consider ourselves very lucky to have her joining our team.
